Tom Davies, area organiser for Christian Aid set the scene for the evening by giving a short introduction to the “We will harvest the desert” project that this year’s sale of harvest goods was supporting. This was followed by light refreshments and then the sale of goods with the “cookery tips” from auctioneer Steve based on the usefulness of the humble lemon..

...although we were not at all sure if he had the right glasses on, however he did set a record for a jar of Marmite!

The evening raised £300 for Christian Aid which pleased treasurer Dave and assistant Huw, and all involved.
